Arietta Slade and her colleagues have written a truly excellent book about their work with vulnerable parents and children. The book examines the theoretical approaches from attachment theory, mentalization and trauma psychology that minding the baby approach is inspired by. Furthermore, it provides an overview of the program as it stands today and the research that supports it. It also describes how to apply the insights from minding the baby in general work with pregnant women, young children and new families.
